Game Overview
DOG EAT DOG is a game inspired by my love of the horror genre ( particularly SAW ) and my obsession with the CONDEMNED series of games. This is my personal love letter to both these franchises with my own twists on top.
The player wakes up after being kidnapped, placed in a sick game against other people, forced to use melee weapons fashioned from everyday materials, and guns with limited ammo supply.
You will fight against sick freaks, corrupted by the game, using anything you can get your hands on to beat them to a pulp. But enemies are not the only threat in the game, deadly traps and puzzles litter the halls of the grunge covered factories the game takes place in.
MELEE COMBAT BASICS
Basic Swing - The basic attack, the players primary action in combat.
Heavy Swing - Hold the attack button to do a heavy swing, time it correctly to do EXTRA damage!
Parry/Block - Use the block button to parry enemy attacks, be careful the window is short. A well placed parry will stun the enemy.
Kicking - Kick a blocking enemy to break their guard, kicking is also useful for launching enemies into dangerous traps!
Throwing Weapons - If you have good aim, you can throw a weapon at an enemy to stun and knock them over.
Stamina Management - All of these actions use stamina, so manage what moves you use. Spamming attacks will get you killed!
MELEE WEAPONS
Nailboard (two handed)- A brutal and practical weapon, slow swing but a heavy impact.
Pipe (one handed)- Break it off of the wall ands start swinging, fast but low damage.
Machete (one handed)- A dependable blade that can slash through enemies, throw it hard enough and it will get stuck!
Sledgehammer (two handed)- A massive hammer that has the power to crush enemy heads, but watch your stamina consumption!
Glass Bottle (one handed & stab) - fragile and dangerous! the weapon starts as a one handed melee, but when broken can be used in a stabbing stance.
Every weapon in the game has its own stats for its swing speed, damage, and durability, and every weapon type has its own set of animations, play smart and pick the right weapon for the right situation!

GUNS
Guns have limited ammo, only what is in the weapon is what you can use. When the gun is empty, you must throw it away. The only way to check the ammo of a weapon is to open the chamber and check which bullet/shells have been spent, this is all done diegetically by the player.
Revolver - Six shots and highly accurate
Shotgun - Two shots of a short range spread of damage
